Two ways to help you justify your video content spending and tie it to revenue.

Whether you're using video content, or some other means to engage your audience, the pressure to justify your marketing spending is ever present. That's why we at Gamma Blast continue to write about ways to help you show results for your video marketing programs. Here's Part 2 of ways to show ROI for video:
Digital Advertising -- Re-marketing
Re-marketing is powerful. It gives you the opportunity to re-connect with people who have visited your website, app or YouTube channel. The most common case where re-marketing excels is when someone visits one of your properties, but does not take an action (purchase, sign-up for a newsletter….). Darn those people! With a bit of a monthly digital advertising investment, re-marketing gives you the ability to serve targeted ads to those people to move them toward conversion. Here's how it works:
If you use Google’s YouTube re-marketing services, a signed-in user to YouTube can discover your content on YouTube, be added to your re-marketing list, and then with an Adwords for video buy, be served ads during their subsequent internet browsing sessions that encourage them to engage with your brand directly.
What’s even cooler is, most of the major platforms provide the ability to create unique lists based on specific criteria for people who have previously visited an owned property. This gives you the ability to craft unique campaigns for specific segments of your re-marketing prospects that are coordinated with the overall marketing and conversion requirements.
Expand reach through Look-a-Like or Prospect marketing
For a bit larger investment with larger potential return, look-a-like marketing will use your video content to expand your brand’s reach. Using algorithms to find others online who have established interest in similar offerings to yours, these campaigns compare data from a current site’s visitors and their behavior during general internet browsing, and compare it to data collected from other “beacons” that are distributed across the internet. As it finds people (session histories) who look strikingly similar to a site’s current customers, your branded ads are served up. Facebook is particularly effective at this. As users choose to engage more and more, they can be moved to the re-marketing list.
