Journeys had an interesting challenge. They knew that their target market shopped at Journeys stores for the brand names they carry, but that brand awareness for the store's name had room to grow. The company began with the idea that their customers love to express themselves through Journeys' shoes and wardrobe.
Knowing that their target audience is teenagers, they desired a unique, attention-getting video to stand out from the crowd. Gamma Blast created a concept to help drive brand awareness that featured real teens showing off their personality and style in Journeys shoes. The image spot ran in 1500 movie theatres during the holiday season so the concept featured teens in front of a large movie screen, allowing viewers to "project" themselves into the spot and really connect with the brand . As measured by traffic to an online site, the spot increased brand awareness.
