La-Z-Boy, an iconic American brand, wanted to reduce viewer drop-off for their broadcast commercials and worked with Gamma Blast to create a branded entertainment video to retain viewers and bridge the gap from programming into the commercial break.
In partnership with Scripps Networks, Gamma Blast created a concept that focused on a soldier, his wife, and two young daughters as they tried to make their house a home after so much time apart. After years of moving from place to place, they wanted a room where they could spend time together and create memories that would last a lifetime.
The vignette told the story of the family, their wish, and the transformation of their family room into the heart of their home thanks to La-Z-Boy, their designer, and furniture.
The heartwarming story had its intended effect of reducing viewer drop off, helped increase brand awareness for La-Z-Boy, and rewarded a deserving family for their service and sacrifice.
